Hosting
There are two basic components to getting your site published, first we register your name (also called your URL, or web address) ex. abc-company.com. Second, your site is hosted so that it can be viewed on the web. I work with a local web hosting company that provides excellent customer support. For a simple site, the hosting is free if we register your web address through them. For more advanced features, such as E-commerce and Content Management Systems the hosting costs about $200 per year. If you have not yet registered your domain name, I can help you navigate this process.Illustration & Photography
I work with several excellent photographers that I can recommend to you. I also have years of experience in art direction for product photography and illustration should you need these services.Forms or FormMail
Password Protected Area
There are wide variety of reasons to set up a "members only" area in your site.Online Sales
These are "shopping carts" to allow your site users to buy products. Paypal Shopping Cart and Zen Cart are two good examples.Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a highly effective process for driving relevant traffic to your site. Submitting your site to the major search engines will enable potential customers to find your site.By working with you we'll find effective search terms and phrases which best describe your products and services. These keywords and phrases will then be incorporated into the content of your site. These words help search engines to understand what your website is about and therefore can be ranked accordingly.
The ranking algorithms of the search engines are a closely-guarded secret. The search engines want to give top ranking to the site that is the best match to an individual visitor's search query, not to the site that was able to "beat" the system. That is where the value of real search engine marketing comes in and where I can help.
Content Management System
More and more clients are now relying on frequent updating of their content. In the past this would entail paying for small updates and then waiting for them to be done. Today many clients are now relying on Content Management Systems (CMS) to keep their website content fresh and up-to-date. A CMS is a program that runs beside your website, it allows simple updates to the content of the site and requires no knowledge of website programming. There is no need for you or your colleagues to learn new software. You simply make the changes to your website online as and when required and then view the changes instantly.I offer the Jumla system, an excellent shareware application, which ensures the update process is as simple as possible. Whether you want to change schedules and news, keep a blog, update special offers or administer a product catalogue, we will develop an effective system which is developed specifically for your company needs.
